Good audiobook to listen to?
Can anyone recommend a good audio book to listen to me one? I like from books, JK Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Stephenie Meyer, Wilbur Smith, Garth Nix, Eoin Colfer … And I've learned not English for 8 years, the narrator of the book should speak very, very fast and incomprehensible such as The Host by S. Meyer was really comfortable for your attention.
The Harry Potter books by Jim Dale and Terry Pratchett audio books are narrated very entertaining and well made, but they have a lot of accents and dialects in them. If you have problems with accents, then you might want to start elsewhere. Most Audio books I have heard are quite well done, so you should not tell too many problems with most books in English, unless you in a few really heavy science fiction books or books that have a lot of slang, as getting from A Clockwork Orange. Keep up books by authors you know and books you on the first read to be used to get listening to audio books. Then you should be able to handle most audio books. I have all the Harry Potter books heard and am about halfway through the Terry Pratchett audio books and can recommend this if you have no problems with accents. When Action / Thriller Mystery as Types of books, then I can recommend the audio versions of books by James Patterson, John Grisham, Clive Cussler, Patricia Cornwell, Dean Koontz (one of my favorites), Dan Brown, Matthew Reilly and many more that I do not think at the moment. It is difficult to find a little Sci-Fi titles in audio books, but you can usually The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings on CD. Other good authors include in this category, Douglas Adams, Piers Anthony, Anne McCaffrey, Larry Niven, Harry Turtledove and David Weber. This can harder to find, but worth the search. Start at your local library – most have a selection of audio books, and some even have it available for download. To save some money, how to find out which books and / or tell FIG. And always try to get the unabridged version whenever possible. Some books are only released on audio summaries, so you may not be able to get the whole version, but they seem to cut You quantity of the book.
